COLLEGE PROGRAMS

Please Note: The length of all programs can be adjusted to fit your schedule. All programs can be done virtually, in-person at your institution, or in-person at HMTC.

Hear Me Now

This 40-60 minute interactive program will provide students with a unique and personal perspective on the impacts of prejudice, racism and stereotyping, as well as silence and apathy in multiple contexts. Through hearing the testimony of a grandchild of a Holocaust survivor, your organization can expect to develop an awareness of the value of tolerance in a pluralistic society — one that extends beyond Judaism and anti-Semitism to include other social groups by challenging bigotry and exclusion in any form.

This program is developed in partnership with 3GNY, a non-profit organization dedicated to educating diverse communities about the perils of intolerance. Through its WEDU ("We Educate") program, 3GNY prepares grandchildren of Holocaust survivors to compellingly tell their family stories to students and community groups.

Courageous Conversations: Examining Our Learned Bias and Moving Towards Active Anti-Racism

“Courageous Conversations” is a professional development program specifically designed for teachers and professionals. This workshop encourages participants to examine their internalized bias in an effort to move from being a non-racist to an active anti-racist. Participants will gain a greater understanding of racial inequality, systemic racism, and tools to actively combat intolerance. These practical lessons can be directly applied to interactions inside and outside the classroom, corporate office and in daily life. This is an interactive workshop that can be conducted in one or two sessions and can be done either in-person or virtually.

Length: 2 hours

*All programs can be used as professional development for your educators. *
