CURATOR’S CORNER

The Holocaust Memorial & Tolerance Center of Nassau County (HMTC) presented a virtual “Curator’s Corner” on April 7, 2021 about Zyklon B. Dr. Thorin Tritter, HMTC’s Museum and Programming Director talked about the poison that was used by the Nazis to murder millions in the gas chambers of German killing centers. His talk explored a photograph in our gallery that shows canisters in storage in the camp at Majdanek, and discussed the development of this poison and the manufacturer, the chemical conglomerate IG Farben.
