Between 1975 and 1979, the Khmer Rouge regime killed approximately 1.7 million Cambodias, nearly a quarter of the population, through execution, forced labor, and starvation. This webinar explores the origins, implementation, and after math of the Cambodian Genocide, examining how it fits into the broader pattern of 20th Century atrocities through survivor and second-generation survivor testimony and primary sources. Held on May 20th, Cambodian Genocide Remembrance Day, this webinar is both timely and an important way to commemorate the genocide and all those who were murdered by the Khmer Rouge.
